The glass Christmas ball is hand-painted based on the painting "...the antediluvian rabbit cried in the ark" (1990)
Fantastic beasts are the favorite motifs of Prymachenko's paintings. You look at the bunny and imagine how he will hop and jump out of this ball.
As a child, Maria always listened attentively to fairy tales about fantastic animals, which her mother read to her. And in adulthood, from memories, she transferred these images into her works.
Christmas and New Year are often first associated with childhood. Magic and a fairy tale that lives in the mind of every child. Probably, this is what prompted us to choose this painting, to preserve children's imagination in Christmas balls.
