About
The scarf "Indigo Night" was created in collaboration with the National Museum of Ukrainian Folk Decorative Art. The print for the scarf was a pattern in the traditional technique of decorating fabrics - vybiika. The drawing dates back to the 19th century and comes from the Poltava province, now the city of Boryspil, Kyiv region.
Vybiika is an ancient Ukrainian art that was used to create ornaments on clothes, towels, tablecloths. Fabrics were decorated by applying paint to the canvas using special carved wooden stamps. It was painstaking work that required concentration and great patience.
The repeating pattern in deep blue color creates a mystical atmosphere of a fragrant summer night.
