About

The original floral print of the "Ayia" scarf brings a unique and unmistakable style to this piece. The exclusive artwork for our Crimean collection was created by the renowned Crimean Tatar artist, Rustem Skybin.

Each scarf is named after unique natural landmarks of Crimea: Ai-Petri (mountain), Emine (cave), Dzhur (waterfall), Ayia (cape), and Kermen (cave).

In creating these designs, Rustem drew inspiration from the motifs of Crimean Tatar embroidery, which is rich in intricate details, vibrant colors, and diverse, life-like narratives that embody traditional cultural elements. The core message of the Crimean Tatar collection is the continuation of life on earth, the connection between generations, and the preservation of cultural heritage passed from mother to daughter.

Two main elements are featured in the patterns: a grape leaf, symbolizing the mother, and an almond seed, representing the daughter. This strong generational bond has allowed for the preservation of the foundation—the nation's cultural gene, which has endured many trials.

Traditional Crimean Tatar folk culture flourishes and renews itself, enchanting with mysterious legends, captivating with magical flowers and winding Oriental patterns.
