About
Museum of Ivan Honchar. This collaboration gave us the opportunity to reproduce, on silk, one of the beautiful 19th-century paintings, "Cossack Mamai". We chose her for a reason. The figure of Mamai became the personification of the ideals of Ukrainians - freedom-loving (or freedom-loving), indomitable. Paintings depicting Mamai were and are a spiritual symbol of the nation. It has power, peace, and mystery. Mamai, like the universe, is bipolar and harmonized: it embodies two world principles (masculine – Cossack-knight and feminine – earth, soul). It appears as a kind of channel of communication between two planes of existence and serves as a living tuning fork, which tunes into a harmonious order. This deep historical beacon gives light even today, reminding us of our strong roots. And surely, one day, instead of weapons, only art will be in our hands. We are all descendants of Mamai - brave and talented. The folk painting with a Cossack is depicted in bright colors with a rich palette, and on silk, it plays with all facets. This is really a landmark work for us. And we are happy that we can help the museum maintain interest in folk art and create an accessory in the style of fusion. A stylish silk scarf with a folk picture will not go unnoticed.
