Shirt "Mariupol"
Shirt "Mariupol"
Blue shirt with colorful embroidery and contrasting red stitching. Dedicated to the ethnographic region of Pryazovia and inspired by Alla Horska's Mariupol mosaic panel "Tree of Life".
The mosaic was created under censorship: all art of the time had to meet the requirements of socialist realism. But even under these conditions, Alla Horska managed to show a clearly defined Ukrainian face.
Currently, the Tree of Life panel has been mutilated by the russian occupiers. We painted a mosaic, stylized it, passed it through our own vision, and applied "Mariupol" to the embroidered shirt to preserve the memory of the lost cultural heritage.
Women's blouse with raglan sleeves. The lower part of the sleeves is voluminous, with gatherings at the bottom and cuffs. V-neck, with a wide flat collar. Front slit with tassel ties. The sleeves and collar are decorated with satin stitch embroidery and decorative stitches.
It was inspired by Alla Horska's Tree of Life mosaic in Mariupol.
