About
The block-printed tablecloth is inspired by two Ukrainian vesnianky — one from the Bershad district in Podillia and the other from Kryachkivka in Poltava region. They became part of the block-printed composition of the tablecloth. The songs came to life in the form of two graphic stories on fabric, echoing each other across a river. All printing blocks were carved by hand, and each design was carefully stamped onto natural fabric by the craftswoman. The vesnianky are taken from the ethnographic archive of Mariana Sadovska. You can listen to them on our Instagram or in Sadovska’s archive.
